Chris holds a Sports Science degree and a PGCE in Physical Education, graduating from Northumbria University with a Commendation and Trainee of the Year Award.
Across seventeen years of teaching within England, Chris has been in Senior Leadership for eight. He has experience as an Assistant Head (Pastoral) and Deputy Head (School Improvement). Before joining Brighton College Dubai, Chris held the position of Head of Upper School, where he was proud to have led a three-year improvement of GCSE results.
Chris’s educational philosophy is to value, challenge and inspire all pupils to achieve their personal best and to excel in their academic, cultural, co-curricular and personal lives. He advocates holistic education and opportunities for the building of pupil character, both inside and beyond the classroom. He is excited to be teaching Physical Education and contributing to the co-curricular life of the school as an experienced elite level coach across many sports.
Outside of school, Chris’s hobbies and interests include: listening to music, charity work, cooking, travelling and supporting his beloved Newcastle United FC.
